Ten Years Voicing Johnson's Baby: a Voice That Grew With the Brand

Natalia Rosminati, commercial voice of Johnson's Baby campaigns

Giving voice to Johnson's Baby commercials is one of my great satisfactions as a voice artist. For more than 10 years I have accompanied their campaigns — and in that time, we grew together, getting closer to the audience in different ways, adapting to the times we live in.

The register this brand asks for is a masterclass in commercial warmth: maternal, sweet and warm, yes — but with that realistic touch that reflects what motherhood and fatherhood actually look like today. Not an idealized whisper: a real voice, for real families, at bath time on a random Tuesday.

A decade with one brand also teaches you something priceless about consistency: the voice has to stay recognizably 'theirs' campaign after campaign, while quietly evolving with the creative. That continuity is one of the most valuable things a voice actor can give a brand — sonic identity that compounds over the years.

Always grateful to the incredible teams behind these campaigns. You can hear this register in my commercial demos.

There is real technique inside that softness, by the way: the maternal register lives close to the microphone, at low volume but full support, where every breath is audible and has to be intentional. It is one of the most demanding registers in commercial voice over — any tension in the throat reads instantly as insincerity. Ten years of bath-time campaigns are, among other things, ten years of breath control.
