Voicing Medife's Official AFA Campaign During the World Cup
If you are Argentine, you know: there is nothing quite like the country during a World Cup. Streets change, conversations change, hearts beat differently. So when I was called to voice the new radio campaign for Medifé, the official medical coverage of the AFA — the Argentine Football Association — in full World Cup mode, it was much more than a booking. It was lending my voice to a moment the whole country was living together.
Campaigns like this one carry a beautiful responsibility: the voice has to hold the emotion of millions of fans without overacting it. Pride, hope, belonging — everything the jersey means — compressed into a handful of seconds, said the way an Argentine would say it.
That is the craft of Argentinian Spanish commercial work: when a brand speaks to Argentina at its most Argentine moment, the voice cannot sound generic. It has to sound like home.
The campaign is on the air on radios all over Argentina. Many thanks to Agencia Enero and BigSound for this beautiful opportunity — and to every team that trusts my voice to carry their biggest moments. A glimpse is on my Instagram.
Radio is also the purest test of a commercial voice: there is no image to lean on, so the voice carries the entire story — the tension of the match, the warmth of the brand, the pride of the jersey. Thirty seconds of audio have to paint what television would show. That is why I love radio campaigns: they are voice acting with nowhere to hide.
Does your brand have a big moment coming? Let's make it sound unforgettable.
