Adidas #YouGotThis: Being the Spanish Voice of a Global Campaign
Adidas launched its global campaign #YouGotThis sounding in every language — and it was a great pride and responsibility to be the voice in Spanish, with the anthem 'Under Pressure' by Queen and David Bowie playing as its banner.
The iconic campaign shows how legendary elite athletes — from Lionel Messi to Trinity Rodman, Jude Bellingham, Linda Caicedo, Kimberly García and Nuria Diosdado, among others — deal with pressure in their performance and how they overcome it. It is exciting to see these sports stars invite athletes of all levels to step onto the field with confidence and focus on their inner power, filling new generations with inspiration.
For a voice actor, a global campaign like this is the ultimate synchronization exercise: your Spanish read has to carry the exact same energy as every other language version, beat by beat, under the same music. One campaign, one heartbeat, many languages.
Huge thanks to the studio team and everyone at Adidas for making it possible. When did you have your 'Under Pressure' moment and tell yourself 'You Got This'? The campaign is on my Instagram.
Global campaign adaptation is precision work: the Spanish copy arrives pre-timed to picture and music, and the read has to deliver the emotional peaks in the same frames as the English original — while sounding like it was born in Spanish, never translated. It is the discipline where commercial voice over meets dubbing, and having both crafts in the same throat is exactly what these projects hire.
